The USA TODAY Sports Super 25 High School Football Rankings enters its 41st edition in 2022, kicking off another exciting season for the iconic franchise that began in 1982.
Last year’s 40th anniversary added a historic footnote to the overall results, with Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) winning the programme’s fifth Super 25 crown, which tied them to soccer powerhouse De La Hall (Concord, CA) for the most of all time.
Will the monarchs make it a record sixth wink?
Head coach Bruce Rollinson’s team enters the opening Super 25 as the No. 1 team, but the schools that follow them – in California and across the country – are among the football programs most talented in recent years.
