University Health Associates Receives Aetna Better Health of West Virginia Quality All-Star Award

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – University Health Associates (UHA), the affiliate practice plan of the WVU School of Medicine in Morgantown, received the Quality All-Star Award from Aetna Better Health of West Virginia on May 17. UHA was one of eight statewide organizations to receive the award for their actions to improve member outcomes in 2022.

This award recognizes the strong partnership between UHA and Aetna Better Health of West Virginia as well as the work UHA has done to improve wellness and preventative care and reporting performance on the data set and data. information on the effectiveness of health care. UHA has been identified as having high performance for breast cancer screenings and A1Cs below 8.
“We are honored to receive this award,” said Sarah Patrick, FNP-BC, Medical Director of WVU Medicine Population Health. “We are continually working to improve patient care and outcomes, and preventive medicine is one of the best ways to do that.”
The Aetna Better Health of West Virginia’s Quality All-Star Award recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence in improving the quality of health care. Recipients of the annual award are selected for their achievements in improving health outcomes and their partnership in helping Aetna Better Health of West Virginia members throughout their healthcare journey.
