Takefusa Kubo scored one of football’s most bizarre goals of 2021

Takefusa Kubo is not known to be a prolific goalscorer.

The Japanese star, who is only 21, has played for Mallorca, Villarreal and Getafe during his short professional career.

He made 173 club appearances and scored just 22 goals.

Kubo also wasn’t too lucky in front of Japan’s goal. he played 18 times for the national team and scored only once: against Ghana in June earlier this year.

But, despite not being known as a goalscorer, Kubo scored an extremely odd goal while in action for Japan U24s in 2021.

Kubo was in the starting lineup for his team’s game against Jamaica on June 12, 2021.

The youngster played a starring role as Japan won 4-0. He opened the scoring in style.

Kubo found space on the right wing and cut inside the box on his preferred left foot.

His shot drilled into the bottom corner – going through the legs of FOUR Jamaican players before nestling in the back of the net.

The video went viral again on Twitter and is still stunning to watch to this day. Watch it below…

Mad. What are the chances of this happening? ! We’ve never seen a goal like this and we don’t know if we will for a considerable time.

Kubo will never score an away goal, that’s for sure.

Kubo left Real Madrid this summer after three years at the club. During his spell, he didn’t make a single appearance for the first team and was loaned out four times.

He now plays for Real Sociedad. Kubo has featured in every one of Sociedad’s games to start the season and scored on his debut against Cadiz.

Kubo will be looking to make Real Madrid regret their decision to let him go when Sociedad travel to the Santiago Bernabeu in January.

QUIZ: In which club did these 40 players make their professional debut?
