Sources: West Brom agree to sign Brighton star Steven Alzante

West Brom have agreed a deal with Brighton & Hove Albion for midfielder Steven Alzate, sources told Football Insider.
The Colombia international, 23, has agreed to join West Brom on loan until the end of the season.
Brighton have given the green light to the deal as Alzate has not played in the Premier League this season.
He has two years left to fulfill his contract at the Amex and has been on the bench for their last four top games this season.
Alzate started his career at Leyton Orient before joining the Seagulls in the summer of 2017 and also enjoyed a loan spell at Swindon Town in the 2018-19 season.
After impressing at the County Ground with three goals and four assists in 24 appearances in all competitions, he broke into Brighton’s first team.
The six-cap international has played 51 times in all competitions for Graham Potter’s side, including 27 Premier League starts.
West Brom will once again be able to offer him regular first-team football as they seek to earn promotion to the Premier League.
Steve Bruce has already signed five new players this summer and has converted Jayson Molumby’s loan from Brighton into a permanent deal.
They have bolstered their midfield ranks with the return of Okay Yokuslu and the signing of John Swift on a free transfer from Reading.
The Baggies are currently 14th in the Championship having won just one of their first seven games.
