Sam Neill Provides Health Update After Fan Concerns – OutKick

Actor Sam Neill wants everyone to know he’s okay.

The Jurassic Park veteran took to Instagram to give fans an update regarding his battle with blood cancer after rumors started swirling that he had taken a turn for the worse.

NEILL WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER LAST YEAR

I’m alive and well and have been in remission for eight months, which feels really good. And I’m alive and active and going to work. I’m very happy to be back to work,” the 75-year-old actor said.

Neill will star alongside Anette Benning in the upcoming “Apples Never Fall” limited series.

Neill was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma last March, which resulted in the “fierce” stage 3 blood cancer he is currently battling. Luckily though, he says the cancer is now in remission and he’s looking to beat it just like he was able to escape the T-Rex chasing him in Jurassic Park.

In the video, Neill thanked fans for their concerns, but also encouraged them not to worry about negative things such as his diagnosis.

“Let’s not worry too much about ‘all that’ because I’m fine. All right.”

However, concerns over Neill’s health only increased on Friday after he admitted cancer in the first chapter of his upcoming memoir.

“The thing is, I’m a crook. Maybe die… I might have to speed things up,” Sam writes in the book.

Whether escaping raptors in Jurassic Park or hiding in the ocean in The Hunt For Red October, Neill knows his fans were with him then and will continue to be throughout his life. battle against cancer.
