Quickly prepare the scientific, technological and innovation policy: CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said science, technology and innovation policy should be prepared quickly and presented to Cabinet. The Single Citizens Database should be prepared by December 2022 at all costs, so that citizens can benefit from it. He said preparations should also be made to create a single service delivery portal by April 2023.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the science and technology department at Mantralaya. Science and Technology Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Manoj Govil and other ministry officials were present.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intention, drone technology should be promoted. The use of drones should be encouraged by leveraging technology. Keeping this in mind, full preparations should be made to hold drone courses. Work quickly for the establishment of new ITIs in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan said land should be identified in Bhopal, Indore and Dewas for the establishment of new IT parks. More and more young people should be connected to employment in TCS, Infosys, Impetus etc.

Chief Minister Chouhan said the departmental district ranking scorecard should be developed to increase accountability in the administration. District ranking is essential for healthy competition. On the model of Jabalpur and Ujjain, the proposal to build a science city in Bhopal should be considered.

Chief Minister Chouhan said the CM meeting management system should be prepared. The network facility should be available in 1635 villages that do not have a mobile network.

Aadhar-based payment should be ensured in beneficiary-oriented programs in all departments. Measures must be taken for the renewal of the IT policy. He was informed that measures are being taken by the Department of Telecommunications to provide 4G services in 3191 villages.
