Post-Acute Care Communication Platform Olio Health Closes $13M Funding Round

A communications platform aimed at bridging the gap between health systems, payers and post-acute care providers recently announced a $13 million funding influx.
Indianapolis-based Olio Health recently closed its Series A funding round, led by Atlanta-based Fulcrum Equity Partners, with additional product development plans and additional hires across multiple departments, according to CEO Ben Forrest.
“The current communication and release process is manual, error-prone and non-scalable,” Fulcrum partner Philip Lewis said in a statement. “When the entire care management team has real-time patient status throughout the post-acute impression, providers can improve the performance of value-based care agreements.”
Cleveland-based Mutual Capital Partners also participated in the funding round, according to a press release.
Olio’s platform provides real-time communication, collaboration, and savings to at-risk entities and post-acute care providers.
In addition to value-based care payers, Olio’s software also supports skilled nursing facilities, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, home care, hospices, and long-term care hospitals. .
Olio reported in January that its client portfolio has seen an average readmission reduction of 36% on average for 2021.
