Meow Wolf Exhibit Opens Houston’s Fifth Ward

HOUSTON – Houston, get ready for a new arts and entertainment center and experience right in the heart of the Fifth Ward.

It is slated to open next year, and entertainment company “Meow Wolf” opened its Houston location on Thursday. The company has partnered with the City of Houston to transform a former warehouse built in 1917 into an immersive and interactive art attraction.

Meow Wolf has a number of what they call “mind blowing” exhibits across the country.

Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said it would be a great addition to the city.

“Through this public-private partnership, Meow Wolf is committed to renovating and rehabilitating this historic 1917 warehouse and anchoring it with complementary retail, dining and interactive entertainment gallery space focused on art,” Turner said.

The expo is expected to open next year and create hundreds of jobs in the Fifth Ward.
