L&T Technology Services (OTC: LTOUF) has been awarded a 5-year, multimillion-dollar contract with German luxury vehicle maker BMW Group, according to an announcement on Aug. 29.
The large contract was awarded to LTTS because of the company’s extensive experience in the field and its engineering leadership in transportation technologies, as well as the company’s demonstrated ability to deliver unique to develop current projects and undertake new ones.
L&T Technology’s engineering team will provide services in the areas of software build and integration, infotainment validation and fault management, primarily for the hybrid BMW family of vehicles.

L&T is also a listed subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, specializing in engineering and research and development (R&D) services in the Indian stock market (NSE: LTTS), offering consultancy, design, development and testing throughout the product and process development lifecycle. .

As a result, the deal was awarded to L&T due to its engineering expertise and proven ability to scale projects. With the nearshore center providing engineering and R&D services to BMW, L&T will be able to support BMW and offer real-time services. The focus will be on hybrid electric vehicles and infotainment console kits offered by BMW.
This cooperation will strengthen L&T’s existing engagement with the BMW Group, as the company remains committed to deploying its digital engineering capabilities for its key customers.
