A local college teacher faces indecent assault charges involving several players on a youth baseball team he coaches.
According to criminal complaints, police said several families complained to Jefferson Hills police that Eric Fairman, 26, had inappropriate sexual contact with their children on multiple occasions over several years.
Fairman is a math teacher at Founder’s Hall Middle School in McKeesport and coaches several baseball teams.
One of the victims said he was 12 when an incident happened at his home while a friend was sleeping at his house, according to court documents. The victim told police that Fairman was drinking with his parents and entered his bedroom and touched the two boys.
Another victim said that in fifth grade, he would go to Thomas Jefferson High School with Fairman to shoot hoops and lift weights, then return to Fairman’s where the victim was assaulted five times, according to police documents.
The criminal complaint does not specify which youth team it is.
Fairman faces charges including unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault, corruption of minors and criminal use of a means of communication. He was arrested Wednesday night and is currently in Armstrong County Jail.
