LMPD investigates after 2 shootings outside South Louisville business

The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after two people were fatally shot in southwest Louisville on Saturday. the nearby 3300 block of Penway Drive. After the LMPD’s initial investigation, they said the two victims were outside a business in Cane Run Road and Bells Lane when they were shot and fled the scene. The man and woman have no life-threatening injuries, police said. They were taken to UofL Hospital for treatment. The police have not yet determined what the relationship between the two victims is. The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after two people were fatally shot in southwest Louisville on Saturday.
Police said they received reports of a shooting around 5 p.m. involving two victims.
The LMPD located a woman in the 3200 block of Commerce Center Place, while a man was found in the nearby 3300 block of Penway Drive.
After the LMPD’s initial investigation, they said the two victims were outside a business in Cane Run Road and Bells Lane when they were shot and fled the scene.
Both the man and woman have non-life-threatening injuries, police said. They were taken to UofL Hospital for treatment.
The police have not yet determined what the relationship between the two victims is.
The LMPD’s Second Division is investigating the shooting and has made no arrests.
