LeBron James reacts to John Wall’s mental health message

LA Clippers guard John Wall recently opened up about the mental health battles he’s faced over the past two years. Having lost his mother and grandmother, the five-time All-Star was in the darkest time of his life. While Wall has touched on the subject before, this recent interview revealed the depth of his emotions, and even his struggle with suicidal thoughts.
“I thought about killing myself,” Wall said. “I tore my Achilles tendon, my mother passed away, my grandmother passed away a year later, in the middle of COVID. I’m going to chemotherapy, sitting next to my mother taking her last breath wearing the same clothes for three days in a row.”
Wall opened up about finally being in touch with a therapist and how he’s been smiling a lot more lately. Now back in basketball, Wall feels grateful to be doing what he loves; however, few understood what he was going through while he was sidelined.
