Kelsea Ballerini separates from her husband | Entertainment

Kelsea Ballerini has separated from her husband, Morgan Evans.

The ‘Heartfirst’ singer admitted it was a ‘deeply difficult’ decision to file for divorce from the 37-year-old musician after almost five years of marriage, but she’s ‘tremendously grateful’ for the time they spent together and “full of hope” for the future.

She wrote on her Instagram story: “My friends, I have always done my best to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way, while protecting layers of my personal life as they unfold. It’s now a public record, so I wanted you to tell me straight up that I’m going through a divorce.

“This deeply difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth and effort that has finally come to an end. It’s hard to find the words here…but I’m extremely grateful for the years of marriage to Morgan and full of hope for the coming seasons.”

The 28-year-old singer then warned fans that she and the ‘Kiss Somebody’ star are both “fragile” at the moment but want to fulfill their professional commitments as best they can.

She added: “With very busy schedules ahead, please remember that we are both fragile, actively healing and doing our best.”

Morgan – who met Kelsea in March 2016 while co-hosting the CMC Awards in his native Australia – was left “very sad” by his estranged wife’s decision to end their marriage.

He wrote: “I am very sad to confirm that after almost five years of marriage, Kelsea and I are separating. I wish it were otherwise, but sadly it is not.”

Last year, the “Miss Me More” singer revealed that she and Morgan go to couples therapy “all the time” because they find it beneficial to their relationship.

She said: “I think it’s really important. Obviously, we have a weird life. Like, we’re both really busy and don’t spend as much time together…And just try to find, for example. example, things that work for us.”
