Genesis and Hyundai are unbeatable in one important area

While Hyundai won overall honors, none of its vehicles were singled out in specific categories. The aforementioned Escalade and Cooper Electric, for example, both received the Advanced Technology Award. The rugged American SUV impressed with its rear-view camera technology (as did the Subaru Ascent), while the little Briton won praise for one-pedal driving.
Elsewhere, the Lexus IS and Mitsubishi Outlander both received the Emerging Automation award. The American-made BMW X3 received an award for infotainment and connectivity in the premium segment, thanks to its phone-based digital key technology.
Another interesting piece of information concerns the experience of the dealer. An attentive seller greatly increases the possibility of using advanced technology correctly. “The average Net Promoter Score (NPS) of a vehicle model1 is higher for owners who received dealer training for their advanced technologies than for those who learned them from outside sources,” the study notes.
If you’re looking for a new SUV, the Escalade is worth considering. If you’re looking for something else, Genesis, Hyundai, and Kia might be the most satisfying options.
