FBI Announces Tentative Schedule for Acquisition of Information Technology Services and Supplies 2

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Information Technology (IT) Services and Supplies 2 (ITSSS-2) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) is an IT services vehicle that will provide IT services to the FBI and will also be available to the entire Department. of Justice to use. BPA provides a simplified approach to obtaining IT services from a pool of qualified vendors. Due to the critical need for a streamlined primary vehicle and staffing challenges for FBI contract specialists at the time, in December 2021, the FBI partnered with the General Services Administration (GSA) to create, solicit and award the ITSSS-2 BPA.
When the GSA partnership began, the FBI supply team was 71 percent. Since then, however, FBI procurement staffing has increased to 95%. Additionally, the FBI has onboarded experienced and seasoned procurement professionals to lead the development and execution of complex contract vehicles. With the significant increase in FBI procurement staffing and dedicated contract experts, the FBI is pleased to announce that it is now able to execute the award phase of the BPA ITSSS- 2. The FBI is grateful to the GSA for its support over the past 14 months.
The FBI will provide monthly status checks through SAM.GOV and biz.fbi.gov, and has created a designated email address for the ITSSS-2 BPA. Please send all emails to [email protected] The FBI will also provide a high-level timeline once completed for the BPA. The FBI is targeting an award for calendar year 2023 with a final release of the award application in mid-summer with a possible industry engagement event in late spring 2023.
The FBI is excited about this opportunity to execute the BPA ITSSS-2 and partner with industry leaders in the IT field as well as new companies large and small.
