Dawson CC Basketball Officials Camp
GLENDIVE — Dawson Community College Basketball Programs will host an Officials Camp June 16-18. This will be Dawson’s fourth year hosting the camp, which typically draws 25 to 30 officials from across Montana, Wyoming and North Dakota.
All current youth league, high school and college officials, as well as those looking to get into officiating can sign up.
The Dawson Basketball Officiating Camp combines both hands-on experience and hands-on instruction with classroom learning. Participants will officiate high school games and receive assessment from certified referees in addition to training in officiating topics in daily classroom sessions. This year, officials will also have an endgame experience at the Cardiac Tournament on Saturday night.
Mark Riggs, who has over 30 years of experience as a college and high school referee. Riggs refereed NCAA D2 basketball for 28 years and NCAA D1 basketball for 18 years. He currently works in six D1 conferences and was a camp clinician in the D1 MBOA.
Bo Scott brings with him over eight years of NAIA and NCAA Division II experience as well as three years in NCAA Division I.
Shawn Schroeder’s basketball officiating experience includes a total of 17 years overall, including 14 years at the college level, and has been on staff at over 20 camps. He currently works at the Frontier Conference, GNAC and has been named to officiate in the NJCAA National Tournament.
Trevor Koterba has officiated for over 10 years at the HS, NJCAA, NAIA and D2 levels. He helps organize education in the Worden officials pool.
The Dawson Basketball officiating camp is approved by the MHSA to count as two study club credits. Montana educators will be eligible to receive renewal units. The cost to attend the camp is $100. Registration includes accommodation and meals for the weekend, as well as a Dawson Basketball Officiating Camp jersey.

Dawson CC Volleyball Summer Camp
GLENDIVE — The Dawson Community College volleyball team will hold its annual summer volleyball camp June 7-9.
Camp times vary by level: Levels 3-6 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.; Grades 9 to 12 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.; 7th-8th grade from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Dawson volleyball coach Dina Fritz, along with several college volleyball players, will lead the camp. Each camper will receive a T-shirt and prizes.
