CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The city’s solid waste department is urging customers to download the new CC Recycles app to their cellphones or tablets for recycling tips and to stay up-to-date on all garbage collection schedules, recycling, brushes and bulky items.
CC Recycles is available for free and offers residents the following features to improve services and disposal:
Ability to download the electronic collection calendar into their iCal, Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar; printable calendar options are also available. Residents can sign up for weekly collection reminders via email, phone, or in-app notification. Residents can use the Waste Management Wizard to learn how to dispose of items with options to give away before properly disposing of them. Residents can notify the City of problems with the collection service or report broken carts. Citizens of all ages can play the waste sorting game to learn more about recycling and get a certificate of achievement.
