ABBA extends its series of shows in London | Entertainment

ABBA has extended its run of shows in London.
ABBA Voyage – the pop group’s state-of-the-art concerts – are currently booked through May next year, and the show’s runtime has now been extended to Spring 2026, amid huge fan demand.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Everyone knows ABBA has a very loyal fan base, but the show has always been a gamble.
“No one was quite sure how the ABBA-tars were going to be received, as similar hologram-style gigs were mixed. But for ABBA, the reaction has been incredible. Even the most tech-skeptics came away impressed.
“The plan is to freshen up the show with new songs that have already been shot by the band.”
The 90-minute show kicked off in May and was staged in a purpose-built arena in east London. According to an insider, discussions are underway about taking the show to Las Vegas for a residency.
Meanwhile, ABBA’s Benny Andersson previously revealed he feared his bandmates had lost their singing skills before launching their comeback.
The pop group – which also includes Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – have reunited for their long-awaited ninth studio album, ‘Voyage’ – but Benny admitted to having second thoughts before starting to record.
Benny shared, “I think what I felt was that Agnetha and Frida were so happy to do this. And that’s kind of understandable, isn’t it?
“I mean, they haven’t done much in the last 40 years: they’ve made a few albums each, but they haven’t really sung much, so doing that was… seeing them happy with what we were doing they loved the tunes it was perfect.
